1. A separate, high quality cassette tape or CD should be submitted for each student auditioning; an Audition Form must be completed for each entry.
2. Write the name of the student on the tape/CD. If the tape/CD is in a box/Case, write the name of the student on the box/case and the tape/CD.
3. At the beginning of the tape/CD, the singer must speak his/her name and grade in school. Do not state the name of the school on the tape.
4. Next, the student must sing “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” (not “America the Beautiful”), a cappella, wherever it is most comfortable in his/her range. We strongly suggest that teachers practice the piece with singers to make sure they can sing it well.
5. The singer must sing the following audition piece:
   
   COME WITH HEARTS AND VOICES SOUNDING for two part treble voices and keyboard by J.S. Bach, arranged by K. Lee Scott. Morning Star Music Publishers ( MSM 50-9402)
   Students are to sing through measure 38. PLEASE BE REMINDED: Students Must sing with accompaniment.

Teachers: DO NOT sing with your students on the tape/CD or play the melody with the accompaniment. If you do, your student(s) will be disqualified. Also, do not “dub” together portions of the song onto one tape/CD. The audition tape/CD must be unedited or it will be disqualified.

Please listen to the tapes/CDs before you send them to make sure they are complete and audible.

Prepare the Audition Form:

1. Fill in all information on the Audition Form. An Audition Form must be completed for each entry.
2. Wrap the audition form around the tape/CD and secure with a rubber band. Do not use scotch tape! It saves a lot of time if the form is submitted with the tape/CD to which it refers.
3. Include a $7.00 per student entry fee (Make checks payable to LA-ACDA). One check per school or organization.
